The Shift is a LeaseUp podcast hosted by our founder Kurt Chisholm, in conversation with brokers at the intersection of CRE and tech. The guests come from different professional backgrounds, but all leverage technology to get more deals done.
For the second episode of The Shift, Kurt caught up with Saadia Sheikh, VP of Brokerage & Innovation at JLL.
“How can technology play a role in what we do and how we work with clients? Everybody's thinking about it and trying to figure it out.”
Brokerages should look at their current processes to identify places to use tech to create efficiencies, and create happier clients.
“I think that clients, the experience they're gonna want, or maybe demand in some ways, is data and information at their fingertips to be able to understand what they need to do,” Saadia says about where she sees tenant demand going in the near future. “They're gonna want that data and information and they're gonna want a way to see, where are we at and what did we accomplish.”
Saadia and Kurt also discuss the next generation of talent in CRE, and how the brokerage market can change the dynamic of how they work with new brokers to increase education, change the pay structure, and attract more talent.
